Our Fellowship met the requirements of the UUA Green Sanctuary Program,
and we received our Accreditation certificate at the 2009 General
Assembly in Salt Lake City.
Congratulations to all who played a part. Now the work begins!

We are about being good stewards of our home. If you are
interested in helping to stop global warming, in helping to make our
world a better place, please join us. We meet the first Monday of each
month. All are welcome. You can sign up for our email list by

Let's Make BUUF Greener
BUUF is equipped with boxes to recycle. Please use them
and continue to recycle at home as well.
Environmentally friendly, non-toxic kitchen supplies have
been purchased. Please use these and do not bring in others. If these supplies
are low, please contact Wanda Jennings, 362-7563 or
.
For copying please consider using both sides of the paper, using smaller
margins, and reusing paper. Thanks for all you are doing to help our
environment!
Habitat for Humanity Build Scheduled for October
One of the larger projects we did toward getting our accreditation
was helping the Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity in building their
first "green" house, awarded the U.S. Green Building Council's
highest
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
rating of Platinum. With our continued help they will be "thinking
green" in all of their new homes.
Thanks to your generosity, BUUF donated $1000 to the
Boise Valley Habitat for
Humanity as our April 2009 Outreach. If you would like to
contribute your time and effort as well, we will need 10 people to help
build a home on Saturday, October 10, and again on Saturday,
October 17. No experience is necessary. We will also need someone
to provide lunch for 25 people (our own volunteers and others) on both
dates.
To reserve your space please contact
Wanda Jennings @ 362-7563 or
.
